Innovation

Compared to Animal the Human race benefits from
a natural superior capacity to deal with information
which through the times has enabled invention of language,
techniques and civilization.
| The capacity of
Humans to transcend simple instinct and conceptualize
his surrounding world by saving, re-using and
exchanging information leads to the definition
of the Homo Sapiens. (The Human
who knows) .
|
 |
Viewed in IT terms, this unique human skill, known
as Cognition, could only be described as a combination
of Content, Knowledge and Relationship management.
Thanks to his Cognition capacity,
the Human may not only create and invent (words,
tools, social behaviors) but also learn procedures
and acquire new techniques to make things. This
ability leads to the definition of the Homo
Faber. (The Human who makes) . |
 |
Computer science, implies the exploitation of this
human procedural skill, through hardware and software
applicative frameworks for productivity missions.
Thus did the industry develop all kind of tools, ranging
from simple calculator to Cray computer, from accounting
spreadsheet to powerful ERP, from simple text processor
to presentation makers, from 2D wire-line CAD software
to virtual 3D motion picture editor. All these solution
by enabling better and faster execution of Faber type
operation, help each user, in his domain of interest
or occupation.
Information Technology, despite the Sapiens nature
of its subject, is totally based on the same Faber type
of software and hardware framework. Thus like any productivity
mission, managing Information requires dedicated hardware,
software and a lot of computer experience, skill, personal
organization and perseverance from the user. The lack
of any of these leads to what we are used to call digital
divide.
TAPP genuine fundamental innovation consist in identifying
and supporting accordingly among IT user’s behaviors
what belongs on one hand to his Cognitive domain (Sapiens
type Operations) and on the other hand to his classical
productivity domain ( Faber type Operations ) .

we really believe that users are fundamentally
interested in browsing and spending time in
a
technologically advanced world that they just
cannot understand and control ? In our race
for technology, haven't we left the human factor
behind.? |
